January! Arizona’s “winter†month. If I talk alot about the weather here, it’s because we are enjoying it SO much. Normally, by now, we’d have “island fever†because of the dark, short and dreary days in the Pacific Northwest. However, today the sun is shinning, and it will be in the high 60s. February brings the Gem and Mineral show to Tucson. It’s the biggest show of its kind in the world, I’m told. Along with it comes about 30 other “shows†featuring lampwork beads, findings, jewelry and all sorts of goodies. Carol, my jewelry designer, will be here for a few days for the shows. We are really looking forward to that. Juggling house guests seems to be the norm here...because of our beautiful weather. We’ve had my brother, our former next-door neighbors will be here soon, and a couple of other friends who have come to see the house and off to dinner. It’s really wonderful to see friends from our old home down here. We’re glad that our friendships endure. Here is another “hot†set of beads recently at auction. I will add some to my “Lampwork Beads†page, in case you’d like a few. So I hope you’ll take a look. Nothing on eBay until after the shows--maybe mid-February.
